When questioning vehicle drivers involved in traffic accidents, it is very often the case that they have difficulties to make sufficiently accurate and technically plausible statements. For example, questions about the type of braking are almost always answered with "normal". Even for questions about the speed, this answer is gladly used. It was also particularly difficult for the interviewees to state the specific positions of certain events (for example, danger detection, start of using the indicator, etc.), especially in the case of accidents on country roads. Using the method presented, it is possible, for example, to quantify what "normal" means for the interviewees. In addition, positions that were relevant to the respondent's opinion are recorded quickly and easily. Furthermore, technically nonsensical statements regarding the path-time sequence of the own driving movement are avoided. Another benefit is the time savings on the spot.
