Rössle, J.: Studies on the perceptibility of starting maneuvers in cross direction traffic
In a Bachelor work we took the opportunity to take care about the posibility to identify participants start maneuvers on the transverse direction traffic coming from the right. We studied when and under which indices a driver which has priority, at different driving speeds, perceives a vehicle coming from the right. Of interest was the length of time between the starting from rest of the the driver which is crossing and initiation of a crossing defensive action (braking) from the driver who has priority and this should be compared to the knowledge so far and recommendations from the literature. For this, appropriate evidence trips must be made to a suited place and have developed a measurement method to determine the precise desired values. Compared with the summary of the perceptibility time and the one of reaction, as described in the literature, to the samples series were clearly established smaller timeframes.
