In cases of damage that are suspected of being tampered with, drivers often report that an animal was the cause of the damage. In some cases, this will lead to collision with the animal. A literature research on the movement behaviour of animals shows that good data are already available. The analysis of the specialist literature on accident reconstruction shows, however, that the main interest in the reconstruction of road accidents involving animals is based on the speed of the vehicle involved. There is no literature on the detailed reconstruction of damage cases with suspected manipulation, in which the necessary attention is given to the movement behaviour of the animal. As a result, more detailed results can be obtained when reconstructing damage that is suspected of being caused by manipulation, if the movement behaviour of animals and the driving behaviour of the driver are examined as closely as possible.
