Actual results about high complexities and navigation priorities to verify main causes for failing in danger recognition and perceptions
Actual viewing research studies in eye-tracking on accident points (hot spots) disclose high accident risks for car-drivers (and pedestrians): Not only shadowing effects and failing in time – distance evaluations are main causes of accidents but also high complexities by many navigation points and wrong navigation priorities determines failing in perception and danger recognition.
In this presentation is carried out how technic experts can realize dangerous situations in viewingstrategies and what the most important correlations to fail in attention and to get black outs and shortfalls in perceptions are.
Main topics about saccade angels, time to perception and durations of fixations are discussed as well as jumps of saccades in connection to differences in light density, contents and reasons.
The main goal is to show new results of eyetracking for accident analysis and to explain the context to human error.
