The European Association for Accident Research and Analysis Society has been operating in the Czech Republic since 1996. The country group of Czech Republic was established shortly after the year of 1999, when EVU has started the operating as the main company for national companies called country groups. EVU CZ was established as a country group in the year of 2000 and its statutes were approved by the board of directors of the main group at the beginning of 2001. Since 1st of January 2014, the national group has the status of an international NGO and is registered in the Federal Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno (file no. 5716, ID 658 42 707).
The country group of the Czech Republic, as well as its parent organization, aims to increase the professional level of its members by supporting research in the field of traffic accidents by organizing or co-organizing conferences, seminars and workshops in order to share experiences and good practices.
The country group is based at the Institute of Forensic Engineering of the Brno University of Technology and traditionally participates in the preparation and organization of ExFoS - Expert Forensic Science conferences (January), CrashDay IFE - crash tests (usually in September) and other events corresponding to the company's mission.
The CZ country group organized the European EVU Conference, namely the 10th Annual Conference in Brno and the 19th Annual Conference in Prague.

Every country can set up its own country group. Many countries in and beyond Europe have already done so. Cross-border regional groups are in preparation.
