This paper will give an overview of global activities on Future Braking Systems for Cars and Medium-Heavy Trucks, currently under advanced development or recently introduced into the market.
Activities on hydraulically braked Trucks and Buses in the USA up to about 15 t GVW will demonstrate relevant developments in a vehicle segment, mainly in use for the US and Japan. In addition advanced development trends in Europe and Asia will be highlighted regarding Electronic Braking Systems and Driver Assistance Systems.
