No tests on the moving speeds of toddlers in the age group 2-3 years have been published in international journals up to now. In many technical opinions, tests with walking or running children are extrapolated. This paper presents the results of tests on the moving speeds of 2 to 3-year-old children, which were conducted in autumn 2006 and summer 2007 in a Hamburg kindergarten. The test results complement the data presented in earlier publications [1,2]; further, they enable the expert to better narrow down the moving speeds of small children when reconstructing pedestrian accidents.
